Old Salt Festival is about people coming together to support the art of land stewardship in Montana. Wood-fired cooking and music will be the central attractions, along with camping in a beautiful setting at the base of Hoodoo Mountain in the heart of the Mannix Ranch just outside Helmville, Montana. The schedule will also feature a small number of authors, poets, and conversations about working lands and conservation. The General Store will feature some of what Old Salt Co-op considers to be the most interesting animal-based products and independent artisans from the region.
It’s Montana. We are a snow, rain, or shine event so please prepare for cold, wet, and hot conditions. Typically daytime temps are in the high 50s to low 60s and evenings are in the mid-40s to low 50s. Again please bring a variety of layers. There will be fires to warm up by.
Please see the poster above for the general programming layout by day. We will have more specific times as we get closer to the festival. Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page to get notifications and festival updates.
