Old Salt and Clean MT partner to create two scholarships for future community leaders

Building a food system worth its salt takes more than good ranching — it takes good relationships. And good relationships start with how we talk to each other.

We're sponsoring two seats to Clean in Montana, a three-day learning intensive in Bozeman focused on listening, leadership, and communicating across differences. Clean Language is a practical framework for speaking with one another — and even with ourselves — in ways that are clearer, calmer, and less confrontational.

This event is for leaders, facilitators, coaches, and anyone who wants to strengthen the way they connect with the people around them. Because stronger conversations build stronger communities.

How to Apply

Who it’s for

People in Montana who are working to facilitate change in their communities — especially in food systems, agriculture, land stewardship, or local leadership — and who would benefit from learning practical tools for listening, communication, and collaboration.

Deadline

Two scholarships are available. It’s open to anyone living in the state of Montana. Applications close April 15th, 2026.

Selection Process

The recipient will be selected in early April by the Clean in Montana hosts and the recipients notified directly. The goal is simply to find someone who will meaningfully use the learning in their work or community.
