FESTIVAL DETAILS FOR VENDORS

Thank you for your interest in vending at the Old Salt Festival General Store. We have loved the opportunity to bring all of our favorite makers under one tent, and are excited for the second iteration of the festival this summer.

The festival will once again be held on the Mannix Brothers Ranch in Helmville, Montana, in what we call the airport pasture. This year’s dates are June 21st - 23rd. The festival combines music, authors, speakers, wood fired meals, and handmade goods in a celebration of land, conservation, and agriculture. The setting is intimate, with a hopeful 3000-4000 festival participants each day. We found that last year’s gathering was full of connection, good conversation, and an overwhelming sense of community. 

The General Store will house the maker vendors as well as the nonprofits this year. The store takes place under a large tent (or set of tents this year). We are aiming for approximately 35 maker vendors and 20 non-profit vendors. The selection of maker vendors is carefully curated to reduce overlap between vendors and create a unique, quality shopping experience for festival goers.

APPLYING TO BE A VENDOR

We are working hard to curate a unique collection of makers, artisans, and businesses from the West. The selection process will be guided by unique, high-quality products that not only come from the West, but also highlight sustainability and working land stewardship. 

There are limited spots available as we are working hard to hand-select a diverse offering. 

Old Salt General Store reserves the right to decline any application.

BOOTH FEE AND SETUP

This year we’re asking for a vendor fee to cover the cost of the tents, wifi, and meals. The fee will be $400 for the weekend. This includes two festival passes, camping, and daily “bites” from the Old Salt cook fires. Larger meals can be purchased from food trucks on site. The fee will cover a 10x10 booth under the tent, which will be walled up in the evenings and guarded by a volunteer during remaining festival hours.

Set up will be open from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20th, as well as 6 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning.

We are still refining the specifics, but at the moment, vendors will be required to be set up and staffed at the following hours with no early load out : 

  • Friday: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm 
  • Saturday: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm 
  • Sunday: 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
