It all starts with the highest quality fat on the pig (the leaf fat taken from the belly). This pure, slightly sweet tasting fat is slowly rendered into a golden clear liquid that solidifies in cold temperatures. Perfect for frying, baking, searing, cooking, or anywhere that good ol' fashioned lard should be used. It lasts a very long time and comes in a half pound package.
