Emily recently completed a culinary apprenticeship at Kinship, a Michelin one-star restaurant, and Métier, a Michelin one-star tasting room, under the instruction of Chef Eric Ziebold. She has considerable experience promoting and marketing sustainable agricultural practices, having worked in sales for a local orchard in the Washington, D.C. area. Passionate about regenerative food systems, she recently moved to Montana to reconnect with the land, and marry her deep love of cuisine with her ambition to promote land stewardship and elevate local agriculture. A driven self-starter, motivated learner, and bold risk-taker, Emily is invested in Old Salt Co-op’s mission to prioritize Montana ranchers, and connect locals to sustainably raised Montana meats. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in history and a certificate in Arabic language and linguistics. When she is not cooking, Emily enjoys spending time with family in Jefferson County, studying languages, and running.
